Topic Two: 2010 Mercer National Survey of Employer Sponsored Health Plans
Speakers: Peggy Marks & Deborah Persic
The Mercer Survey presentation will include many aspects of Employer Health Plans. Employers will find this information interesting due to the challenging economic times and the decisions made as a result of budget constraints or higher health care costs.
They will also appreciate the information in establishing health care strategies for 2011 and 2012. Below are a few highlights from the Survey:
- Health benefit cost growth accelerates to 6.9% in 2010.
- More employers provided financial incentives to promote better health with employees.
- Enrollment in Consumer Driven Health Plans (CDHP) has increased 2 percentage points every year since 2006.
-The average cost to employers for Health Savings Accounts averaged $6,759 in 2010. This is 25% less than PPO plans.
- More Employers continue to drop retiree coverage.
You won't want to miss this Mercer Survey presentation that is always packed with excellent trends in health care benefits and surveys almost 3,000 small and large employers. Mercer will provide information for both small and large employers in the Tristate area and nationally.
