SPEAKER: Laurie Pierce

Laurie Pierce is the Founder and Chief Culture Facilitator of Spark Alignment, a coaching and leadership development practice. Most teams struggle with communication, conflict, and creating a culture employees want to engage in. Spark Alignment designs personalized, strategic programs built for contribution, not performance. Spark Alignment also offers one-on-one coaching programs to help leaders at all levels level up. Spark Alignment programs build trust, inclusion, and culture—reducing turnover and creating space for real collaboration and innovation.
In addition to her consulting work, Laurie brings over a decade of hands-on leadership experience across nonprofit, faith-based, educational, and community-based organizations. Most recently, she served as Director of Children, Youth & Family Ministry at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Indianapolis, where she led and managed more than 70 volunteers across 13 teams, supervised five direct reports, oversaw a six-figure program budget, and designed organization-wide retreats for over 100 participants. During her tenure, she implemented change strategies for long-standing programs, built cross-sector community partnerships, and grew participation by 50% in under two years.
Laurie is a seasoned facilitator and bridge-builder, known for her ability to lead inclusive dialogue and navigate complex conversations with clarity and care. Her facilitation experience includes serving as an Organizational Culture Series Facilitator, Executive and Manager Skills Coach, Meeting Design Leader and Facilitator, Listening Session Facilitator, Leaders for Inclusion Dialogue Series Facilitator, Youth for Justice Pilgrimage Facilitator, Sacred Ground Racial Justice Training Facilitator, and Intergenerational Retreat Director, guiding participants across age, role, and lived experience.
Earlier in her career, Laurie served as a Community Organizer and University Teacher with the Peace Corps in China, where she led teacher training for 200 educators and founded women’s leadership and student volunteer initiatives.
