With the number of employees filing discrimination charges on the rise and an increased number of EEOC investigative personnel, the chance of an employer facing a charge is higher than ever before. Now is the time to learn the best practices for preparing for and defending an EEOC charge. Carrie will discuss a typical charge timeline, suggestions for how HR professionals can prepare for, evaluate, investigate and respond to an EEOC charge, and tips for avoiding mistakes that could be costly to employers.
Speaker Biography:

Carrie Mount Roelle is an attorney with Kahn, Dees, Donovan & Kahn. As member of the firm's labor and employment law group, Carrie counsels employers in all facets of labor and employment laws. Carrie also regularly defends employers in complaints involving discrimination, wrongful termination and other employment matters in state and federal courts, and before administrative agencies, including the EEOC and state and local agencies.
